EW just reported that Hush, Hush book one of the Hush, Hush Saga written by Becca Fitzpatrick’s will be made into a movie. You can read the details here.

This is another film adaptation of a YA book series. I mean seriously YA property is just hot right now! I guess with a fan base that could be relied upon to be interested in watching the adaptation, making movies of such books seem to be a good investment for the studios.
I have to admit these YA books certainly seem rather imaginative, with stories of various fantastical and supernatural creatures from vampires, werewolves, witches and angels. And many have been made into movies. I have watched quite a few of them, and though they have been interesting watches, few have been good and successful. The Hunger Games, I felt being both a good and successful movie and the Twilight series whose success has no doubt brought about this surge in adapting YA books. Other than those two, many never received the sequels and have faded into oblivion. Does anyone remember, Blood & Chocolate, City of Ember, The Dark is Rising, Eragon, The Spiderwick Chronicles?..I'm sure there are more...I just can't seem to remember them now.
