Trailer for the AMC series The Walking Dead has been released. Ok so it does begin a tad like 28 Days Later, with the whole waking up in the hospital bit. I wonder if that was taken off the comic book, or they simply threw it in the TV series. Regardless, I'm sold. The trailer looks awesome. Its amazing that we now get series such as this with good production values. I mean the Walking Dead looks like a movie doesn't it? Except that its not, and we get to see it every week. Better right. Hopefully the story is as good as how it seems to look visually. The make-up work is certainly great. I'm really looking forward to see this. But seeing how few Zombie movies get here, this series might not land on our shores.
Someone was posting the same trailer and I thought, that's the guy in Love, Actually! Obviously he's playing someone entirely different here. I'm not a zombie genre fan, and I have no cable, so most likely I won't see this.

ReplyDeleteI can't say I'm a zombie genre fan either. I've only watch 2. And thats Zombieland and 28 Days later (and then there's that whole argument that 28 Days Later is not a zombie movie). But that's only on account that those are probably the only two that made it to our shores. But what I've watched, I enjoyed. And the Walking Dead looks like a fun watch.
Oops...I forgot about 28 Weeks Later. But I love 28 Days Later soo much more.
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely floored by this and am hoping with all my heart of hearts it is as good as it looks. Even the zombies look authentic. It gave me the chills.
