Once again this is one of those movies that I was not really into watching. I had heard that it was a pretty violent flick full of big huge muscled guys looking tough and mighty…so yeah I was not the least bit interested. But…I saw the trailer one day at the video store. And I was sold. 300 must have one of the most awesome trailers ever, which basically did what it needed to do…sell the film…which it did in my case. The story is decent enough but it’s the visuals that really stand out because it is just stunning. It’s like looking at a live diorama. Though most of the best scenes were used for trailer everything else is nothing short of spectacular to look at. It had some really good slow and sped up shots. Amazing really what you can do with just blue/green screen. And I loved the sepia tone that was used for the movie, makes everything look ancient. What can I say; it’s just a fun enjoyable movie to watch.
