Just a few years ago...well maybe only months, the hot thing to do was to remake Asian horror movies. There was the Ring, the Grudge, One Missed Call, Shutter, the Uninvited...and I'm sure a bunch of others. Now it seems the trend is to remake European horror movies.Last year there was Quarantine the remake of Spanish movie [Rec]. And of course as we all know by now there's going to be a Let the Right One in remake (though since since it was a novel first...I just kinda see it as the American/English adaptation)...called Let Me In...which I think looks promising...the cast looks pretty good. Now one remake I didn't know was happening till I read this a few days ago was the Orphanage. I know! Somehow I completely missed the first time the news broke. I saw it about a year or so ago.Enjoyed it, but did not quite love it as much as I had thought I would, so I'm interested how this remake would be.The role of Laura it seems has yet to be cast, I think one of these actress could and might just do the part, Rachel Weisz, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blachett, Vera Farmiga or Maria Bello...Lets see if one of these women get casted.
