Well the trailer has been released. Take a look yourself below.
It begins with the preparation...all the excitement...the kids look so happy. Prom finally arrives and it looks like it will be the night of their lives. They get their own rooms at the hotel. The party looks all fun...then the lights start to go out...some screaming here and there. The police seems to be on their way...some psycho was in a maximum security prison until 3 days ago...and looks like he will be going to the prom. I mean seriously....how easy issit to escape from prison? Maximum prison at that?And why did it take 3 days for the police to realise that he's heading to the prom and targeting this one girl? I mean I thought it was obvious to them that he is targeting her exacting some revenge or something right?
It has, it looks like...the typical teen slasher flick...very much like Scream at first glimpse without the prom part...or should I say Scream like Prom Night since Prom Night(the original) came first. Anyway...what are the similarities...they have the one girl that psycho has a vendetta against....he stalks her...along the way kill some of her friends...A few scares here and there...then the police officers ...always portrayed as stumbling incapable idiots. Of course slasher flicks always have that classic scene too where a character is hiding under the bed ...then sees someones shoes, assumes its the psycho, and he or she covers owns mouth stifling own scream. Yep.
And guess what...while I was looking for the remake's trailer on youtube...I actually found the original movie's trailer...I love looking at these retro trailer...fun ain't it...so take a peek below.
Ok so it isn't great...much worse than the remake's trailer...In fact I think it just about awful...maybe because the movie itself was that bad...I mean the voiceovers were horrible...and and it had the whole Saturday Night Fever look...Yes...can you believe that?...and the actors...they look soo old...for their characters...well that's just me...I know it kinda seems like I would never want to watch this...but actually...I'm pretty curious and want to see Prom Night (the remake of course)...it reminds me soo much of those 90's teen slasher flicks...
