Looks like Robert Pattinson will play Edward in Twilight opposite Kirsten Stewart who's playing Bella. Well in case you have no idea who Robert Pattinson is....well here's a pic to remind you.
Yep he's the short lived Cedric Diggory of the Harry Potter movies...so what do you think?? Is he the right Edward?...Well I wouldn't know...I have yet to read the books...but what I can say is...though he has that pale skin (I guessing that's mandatory for a vamp...yes?) and that brooding good looks...I kinda think...he looks kinda old...to play a 16-17 year old... (the pics I posted are not recent ones...they are at least 2 years old)
Hmm...well anyway...the more I read about all this Twilight movie being made the more I become interested in the book... I know its a teen read and I'm not exactly the target readership and everything...but it just sounds really interesting...I've got to look for this book at the library...Yep that's what I'll do ... :)

I read the book before seeing the movie. Looked up your site after seeing the movie to find out which character Robert Pattinson played in the Harry Potter movies.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely RP makes a great Edward. I agree with you re the comment that he might look a little old for 17, but all of the supposed high-schoolers in the film look pretty sophisticated and grown up (especially for "Nowhere" City, Washington state! - I have lived in WA). And don't forget, Edward and his clan are really at least 90 something years old!
BTW, I'm also not the target audience (too old) but I found the book and movie thought provoking and lots of fun. I'm going to read the rest of the books and anticipate the next movie.

ReplyDeleteSomeone somewhere have always made and continue to make a movie/show/book about vampires. It's just that with the colossal popularity of Twilight, the media just loves to bring them to the surface and magnify all the other Vampire-esque stuff out there.
